Upon Wings

Large-scale classical architectural structures were integrated into a lush garden setting to create a classical yet contemporary vision of antiquity.

The transparency of famed Italian sculptor Edoardo Tresoldi’s mesh sculptures simultaneously achieved a formidable impression of depth, as well as an ethereal presence. Arranged as a Roman classical floorplan, the sculptures were organized like architectural monuments in a city to create an open plaza in the centre. The transparent quality of the mesh sculptures effectively produced a grand impression while avoiding the foreboding presence of solid structures.
