Designlab Experience reimagined the golden age of cinema for a 500-guest wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh. Set within the hotel’s grand ballroom, the event unfolded as an immersive tribute to 1940s Hollywood, blending vintage glamour with theatrical set design to create a richly cinematic celebration.

The greeting area set the tone for the evening with a sense of warmth and subtle drama. At its center stood a sculptural, oversized lamp surrounded by plush seating, with walls dressed in blue curtains, gold-patterned wallpaper, and gilded mirrors. A deep blue carpet anchored the space and unified the palette.

The journey continued into the Majlis, a lounge designed to evoke a grand auditorium. Arched walls and theatrical lighting recalled classic venues like Radio City Music Hall, while above, a ceiling installation of gilded leaves and glowing floral bulbs added a soft, atmospheric touch. Art Deco–style chandeliers brought a sense of rhythm to the room, hanging above a circular layout with a curved, reflective catwalk at its center. The runway mirrored the ceiling installation, adding depth to the scene. Around the edges, golden arches with pendant lights framed cozy seating alcoves, accented by chevron-patterned walls and a large, pleated gold fan—creating a warm and immersive atmosphere.

The bride’s entrance marked a key moment in the event. She appeared as a silhouette against a softly backlit stage, bathed in a glow that suggested a cinematic sunset. Her path followed the central catwalk toward the kosha, framed by velvet curtains, marquee-style bulb-lit arches, and a backdrop of projected starry skies.

The transition area featured tall vertical columns in mirrored and metallic finishes, spaced between panels of gold geometric wallpaper and built-in lighting. At the center, gold-toned tables displayed perfumes for guests, surrounded by floral arrangements that softened the space

The evening culminated in the dining area, where modern design harmonized with the night’s theatrical flair. Overhead, a 20-meter circular rig framed in sleek metal served as a striking centerpiece, casting immersive projections and lighting effects that enveloped guests in a 360-degree visual experience. Golden sheer and burgundy velvet curtains lined the circular perimeter, accented by marquee lights and close-up projections of glittering gemstones that heightened the jewel-box feel.
