From the rhythmic wood waves ceiling to the tablescapes, this event achieved a harmony of materials, colors and textures. Cream tones mixed with the endless shades of green succulents, and the warmth of the overhead wooden waves produced a color study that was unbelievably lovely. The wooden flower shaped bowls utilized as the centerpieces really pulled together an organic feeling.
For creating the overhead structure, we were inspired by Contemporary Avant-Garde Architecture where the practice of revealing the repetitive nature of the elements used in the construction are actually what achieves its elegance. This dynamically fluid and modular solution had to be built to perfection with no error in measurement or assembly.
Organic shaped pathways weave around the illuminated wood ring and the room’s outer most walls were adorned with a print treatment that appears as if the structure was casting shadows. There are just so many things to look at within this event that your eye can’t settle on just one.
