Museum of the Future
The Museum of the Future exhibition at the World Government Summit displayed interactive exhibits showcasing latest/futuristic developments. This year’s theme Artificial Intelligence aimed at educating people about the power and potential of ‘AI’ and this was created in several experiences as guests walked through different rooms. Starting with an introduction ‘Hi, I am AI’, each room posed different question such as, Can AI be creative? Can it be helpful? Can it go wrong? What is our future together?
Our idea was to design a museum experience with a path that has a start and leads to the end, in order to observe the entire experience in one journey.
The rooms were created as boxes placed at different levels, layered chronologically next to each other. The walls were intended to be semitransparent, on entering one space it creates an illusion of what is to come next. Walking through to discover it, anticipating the journey.
Alternatively to a conventional linear pathway, the space was utilized vertically by introduction of ramps that added a transitional experience between different rooms. These ramps allowed guests to gradually walk through split levels moving from one room to the next, completing an infinity loop like pathway to reach the end.
